Our journey with All-Star Cheer began when our daughter discovered her love for the sport and we quickly fell in love with it too. As business owners and parents, we wanted to create something special in Freeport: a place where kids could grow, not just as athletes, but as part of a family.
We believe All-Star Cheer is more than competition. It’s about teamwork, discipline, and community. That family dynamic is what inspired us to build Black Hawk Athletics. Here, every child is supported, challenged, and celebrated. With the help of our incredible coaching staff, we are committed to providing proper training in cheer and tumbling while building confidence, leadership, and lasting friendships. Our mission is simple. We want to bring kids together, create a positive environment, and build a strong foundation for growth on and off the mat.
Hi, I’m Kristyn! I grew up in the world of gymnastics, high school cheer, and all-star cheer, and I’ve been coaching athletes of all ages for years. I’ve even owned my own cheerleading gym and worked as an all-star judge, which has given me a deep understanding of both the training and competitive sides of the sport.
As Program Director at Black Hawks Athletics, my goal is to create a positive, challenging, and inspiring environment where athletes can grow—not just in skills, but in confidence and teamwork too. I’m passionate about building strong athletes, stronger teams, and an even stronger community.
Outside of the gym, I’m also a visual artist and muralist, and I love bringing color and creativity to our community through art.
Cheerleading and empowering kids are at the heart of what I do.
The discipline, teamwork, and sheer joy of cheerleading fuel my passion, while the opportunity to mentor and guide young minds fulfills my purpose. I believe in fostering an environment where confidence
can flourish, spirits are lifted, and dreams are encouraged. By combining these two passions, I aim to make a lasting, positive impact, one cheer and one blossoming spirit at a time.
Hi, I'm Jayden Amonett. I've been cheering competitively since I was six and have trained at levels 1-4. Over the past two years, I've enjoyed coaching minis and tinies, helping them build strong fundamentals and confidence. Cheer has taught me discipline, leadership, and the value of teamwork. It has shaped who I am today, and I'm excited to share that same passion for the sport with younger athletes.
